Our team is a year-round activity, and we require our team members to be fully committed to team activities. During the summer, we perform a variety of community service activities, hold occasional team meetings, and perform technical training on things like CAD and Java, During the school year, we meet twice per week (Mondays and Thursdays) from 6-9 pm and perform occasional weekend community service activities. As tournament season approaches, our team meetings become longer and more frequent (sometimes on weekends). Our tournaments (4-6 per year) occur in the winter, mostly on Friday nights and Saturdays. Some of our tournaments require overnight and out-of-state travel. If we achieve at a high level, then we take a week-long trip to Houston, Texas, for the FTC World Championship. There is no membership fee for our team members, but we expect all team members to actively pursue fundraising to support the team.
In addition to enthusiastic and active participation in team activities, we expect team members to:

Our team is a great opportunity for highly motivated students who are still searching for "their thing." We are a world-class robotics program, and we compete for the top awards locally, regionally, and internationally. Our students develop their engineering and computer science skills, their business management skills, their communication skills, their management and leadership skills, and their service mindset. Being on our team leads to connections with engineers, computer scientists, university professors, business leaders, and more. Our alumni include current students and alumni of Baylor, Georgia Tech, MIT, Rice, SMU, the University of Chicago, and the University of Arkansas.
